Trade between two countries is an important part of their bilateral ties. Trade increases economic growth and creates income for many citizens. International trade is not easy, however. It requires that the potential exporter has substantial and accurate knowledge of the situation in the other country. This is even more true for foreign investments.
One of the tasks of the embassy is therefore to provide information on macro- and microeconomic developments, and on specific commercial issues in Jordan. The main target group of this information is of course the Dutch business community. But the embassy also provides information on the economic situation in the Netherlands to Jordanian business people.
The links that are given below provide a wealth of information important for 'doing business with the Netherlands'.
For specific questions you can contact the commercial section of the embassy by telephone, fax or
e-mail.

Better service to foreign businessmen at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
As from spring 2008, foreign businessmen and investors can be served directly upon arrival at Holland Gateway. This new centre at Schiphol Airport will give advice on doing business in the Netherlands.
Holland Gateway will be established in the arrival hall of the Schiphol Airport. It will then be easily accessible from the arrival and departure halls and the train station. Holland Gateway will be a unique international business centre, the first in the world, where every foreign businessman can be served for advice from the Dutch government and for instance for work permits. Holland Gateway will give information on legislation, taxes, business parks and can answer specific questions on doing business in the Netherlands.
Holland Gateway is an initiative of the Ministries of Economic Affairs and Justice, Schiphol Airport, the Centre for Work and Income and the Chambers of Commerce.
